Comments = SDI data look ok, although the instrument stopped for about 6 hours because IDL was hung. As a result of this, I finally got around to setting up a watchdog program that runs every 3 minutes to check if the data acquisition program is still executing. If its hung, the watchdog kills it and starts a new instance.
